Hi everyone. I'm new to this community. My name is Tori and I'm 17. I've been watching jr__nal for awhile now and I'm always amazed/inspired by all the journals here. I recently bought my first moleskine and gave myself full freedom to make as many mistakes as I want. I left the first page blank because I'm not quite sure what to do with it yet. This is my first actual "entry" though. It's really simple but I like minimal things. :)

for those of you that buy plain journals/etc, what do you do to the cover? i bought a blank 9x11 spiral memory book from michaels, and i was thinking of how to decorate it.

I'm looking for books, which are very inspiring for writing journals. I'm also happy with prompts and links and stuff.
I also wanted to know what do you use for journaling? what kinds of pens, pencils, stuff like that.

i was wondering how thick the pages are in cahiers?
and also, how long does it normally take you to complete a journal, with like 70-100 pages?
ALSO;
i am looking for a post/pages from a journal. it was done by a girl, and i believe she said it was for her art history class and they had to do assignments from time to time. this assignment was to write some stand up comedy, and she had a page with little curtains with jokes behind them. if anyone has this/the op sees this, could i please see the page with the curtains? i really liked it and wanted to save it for inspiration :]

hello! so, while back i remember seeing someone with a cassette tape book in this community, or some community. i was wondering if there was a tutorial floating around somewhere on how to make them? i got the cassette apart but its the whole book making part i'm stuck on.

Hey everyone!
I'm a longtime lurker and second time poster, however, I'm pretty sure my first post was over two years ago. I'm a 20 year old female, second year university student with an undeclared major. I pretend I'm an artist, but I don't think I quite have it.
Everyone is so talented and lovely.
Anywho! Under the cut there are a few images, some from my journal and some of a cd cover I made for a mix tape for a friend.

Today the pain from my neck was really wearing on me. I finally gave in a took a pain killer, then got out my polaroid pinhole camera and holgaroid and distracted myself. I used some of the photos I took here in this spread. The good news is, yesterday I got a tabletop easel to try to work on so I won't have to look down, and did this on the easel.

There are 21 images below the cut so it's not dial-up friendly. I wanted to share this book that I made. :) I had to send away the originals for an art swap I'm in but I liked them somuch that I made some little books from their prints. They were drawn on a recycled grocery bag with pen and then painted with watercolors.

My journal, that is. It's getting ridiculously thick, and I know some of you like that, but I really don't. What do you do to fix this? I was thinking of stopping my journal at the end of summer of cutting out the rest of the blank pages (and recycling them of course! for other art projects, probably). Maybe have a journal for each season of the year? Because I started my first one (reall little!) in January, so it'd work out.The only other way I could think of would be to put less stuff in it, and that won't happen, I love my construction paper. How about pictures of your huge, thick journals?
And now! I've never posted any of my pages in here. Not all of them are incredibly artistic, but they all serve their purpose to me and I love them. So, here's a few.

Hi everyone,
Im usually just a lurker but yeh i have a question.
Im starting a new moleskine because my previous ones were really depressing.
My new moleskine i want it to be a new start..like a book of happiness. I want to get better. I want to be happy.
Can you recommend me some really good inspirational/happy quotation websites, or tell me some really nice quotes?
Also- can you recommend me some happy music etc?

Should hopefully have some scans of my new journal within the next few weeks :)

hi people.
i'll be honest, im in a funk. well, this isnt much of an admission because i've been in a funk my entire life, but this particular one makes me not be able to even sit down for two minutes to journal- no collages like i used to post in the past two or so months. instead, i've reverted back to the journal entries of my youth. ie, a black marker and really awful drawings.
this may actually be helpful for some people in the community who are too embarrassed to post. i mean really-look at me.

Dear all,
I would like to make a journal for my grandparents to celebrate their golden wedding but I'm lacking inspiration and ideas.
I'd like the journal to be about them and their life but I know that my ideas won't be enough to fill the whole moleskin. I don't want to make any half-hearted pages...
